Selecting the correct solar panel for your notebook
Selecting the correct panel is easier than you might think. All you need to do is match the watt rating of your laptop or other portable device to that of the solar charger.
You can use a panel with a higher watt rating than that of you laptop to improve charging speed. You can also use a charger with a lower watt rating but your device will not charge as fast as it would on mains power.
All portable devices should have this information written on the adapter you use to charge from the mains. You should read the figures from the output rating. If your adapter does not have an output watt rating it should have the amps and volts.
You can work out your watts with this simple equation: Amps x Volts = Watts
